Hello
My name is Tony Leatham.
Around 35 years ago, I stopped regularly playing the violin. This is despite achieving Royal School of Music (as it was then) Grade 8 with distinction at age 15, having won scholarships to the Yorkshire College of Music and played for many years in Leeds Symphony Orchestra.
This is a decision I have regretted for years - in fact, decades. However, I could never quite find the enthusiasm, motivation or time to reverse it. Until now, that is.
This blog is a journal of the challenges I face as I seek to recover the skills I have lost, and once more take joy in playing this instrument and the beautiful and varied music written for it.
